Palit stretches along Eufemia
bay, overlooking the Frkanj peninsula.
This is the newest settlement
on the island, formed this century in a fertile valley nearby the old town.
It is a modern suburb of
Rab, here is also located trading & administrative centre of the island,
post office,
bus station, police, ambulance
and first aid, pharmacy, big parking and shopping centre.
The area is popular with
tourist for it's closeness to the town, sea and the park.
Other than business centre,
the village is pretty and quiet residential area.
In Palit is another great
promenade which runs along the coast from bellow the town walls to the
Soline sand shoal nearby St. Eufemia monastery in Kampor. In summertime
this promenade is crowded with bathers in winter this is a popular
walking route of the islanders.

bellow town park and Ht. Imperial there is a taxi boat point for peninsula
across the bay ( Frkanj - love island), which lures with its nature and
bays.
The peninsula got this nickname
because of the oldest nudist beach on the Adriatic - Kandalora.
This beach is well known
after it’s famous founders - british heir Edward VIII and Mrs. Simpson
who first bathed naked here in the 1930 ties.
The event is recorded with
the local council since they requested a permittion. Imagine. Well, it
was something those days..
